Frequently Asked Questions



Registration

Q. Will I be asked to pay anything, such as transfer fees or subscriptions, at any point during this competition?

A. Our competitions are genuinely free. The only time you may part with any cash is if you choose to do so by making a donation. At no point will we persuade or force you to make a donation - it is 100% voluntary. You are not disadvantaged in any way if you do not make a donation, and all players still qualify for any prizes we offer to our competition winners.


Q. Why did you not send me an activation code?

A. We always send you an email containing your activation code. It is sent automatically when you complete your registration. If you do not receive your welcome email from us, be sure to check your junk email folders. If you continue to have problems, use our 'Contact' page to get in touch.


Q. When I tried to register I was told my email address was already on file - but I have not registered with this website before. Why?

A. FSPORTS have run a number of different competitions over recent years, all of which share the same user database. It is likely that you have registered with us previously via a different website. Simply ask us to re-send your login details by providing your email address on our login page.


Q. How do I update the flag next to my team name?

A. The flag displayed is the country you chose at registration. You can update your flag in the 'Player Profile' menu which appears beneath your name when logged in.




Login / Account Details

Q. I cannot find my account and my email address is not being recognised. Where has my account gone?

A. We take peoples privacy very seriously - as such we regularily clear down inactive user accounts. We see no value in storing details for players that no longer wish to participate in our competitions.

If your account has been deleted you can simply re-register to play.


Q. I recently made a donation but my account is still showing as 'Basic'. How long does it take for the upgrade to happen?

A. The process of upgrading accounts is not automatic - please allow 24 hours for any upgrades to show.




Competition Rules

Q. Since the increase in driver values my team is now over the 4.0m mark. So if I took someone out of my team worth 1.0m does that mean I will have 1.0m to spend? Or as I am still over the original 4.0m will I not be able to spend that 1.0m on someone else?

A. The 4.0m is just your starting budget. If your drivers are now worth more, you will still be able to spend the extra money you have accrued on any new driver. So if you get 1.0m for taking a driver out of your team this will be added to your 'available to spend' figure. You are able to spend up to your 'available to spend' on any driver you can afford, even if this means your team value goes over the 4.0m starting budget. However, each team will be limited to a maximum of 6 drivers at any one time.


Q. Will the drivers values change throughout the year?

A. Yes - a drivers value may be recalculated immediately after each race, depending on their performance.


Q. Do I need to re-select my drivers for each of the races?

A. Once you have selected your drivers they will carry forward for each of the subsequent races or until you change them.


Q. Is there a limit to the number of changes I can make?

A. You can make as many (or as few) changes to your driver lineup as you like during the course of the competition.




Your Team

Q. How can I change my Team Name and/or League Name?

A. These details cannot be amended by you. You may submit a request via our 'Contact' page to instruct us to amend these details for you. Make sure you include details of what you want it changed to!!!


Q. How do the drivers value get recalculated?

A. The recalculation of drivers values is based on performance in a given race. Every effort is made to ensure that the adjustments are consistent, although the exact details of the formula will not be published. The maximum adjustment of any driver between each race will be 0.25m (up or down). If a driver performs in line with expectations there is every chance that the value does not change at all.


Q. I'm being told I have no teams available to join a league. Why is this?

A. Each team is only permitted to join up to 2 leagues, as well as contest the main league standings. This is to keep the 'Top League' table fair and competitive.




Your League(s)

Q. Why doesn't my league appear on the 'Top Leagues' page?

A. The 'Top Leagues' page is updated after each competition update. A qualifying league must contain at least 5 entries.


Q. How many people can join my league?

A. There is no limit to the number of people that can join your league however only the first 100 teams to join your league will contribute points towards the 'Top League' table (new for 2010). The league owner may also choose to close or limit the league if they so choose.
